Discord Emoji & Sticker Size Guide (2025)

Upload failed? File too big? Here are the exact requirements for every Discord image type.

Emoji Specs

  • Max Size:256 KB
  • Dimensions:128 × 128 px
  • Formats:JPG, PNG, GIF
  • Naming:Alphanumeric

Sticker Specs

  • Max Size:512 KB
  • Dimensions:320 × 320 px
  • Formats:PNG, APNG, Lottie

How to Fix "File Too Big" Errors

Discord automatically resizes images, but if the file size is over the limit (256KB for emoji), the upload will fail instantly. You MUST compress first.

Using our new Discord Cropper

We just updated our tool with a dedicated Social Media Cropper that includes Discord presets.

  1. Upload your image above.
  2. Hover over the image and click the Crop Icon.
  3. In the sidebar, select Discord.
  4. Choose "Emoji" (128x128) or "Sticker" (320x320).
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Download the perfectly sized PNG.
